Parent Communication

To stay up-to-date with what’s happening at Redlands, your best source of information is via Redlands Pulse, Note Day and email. Information on upcoming Yr 9 parent/family functions will also be shared via the Class of 2023 email. Thank you to Tiff, Suzy, Melinda and Erin for arranging these valuable events and managing parent communication. A gentle reminder that the School does not condone the use of social media platforms for parent communication.

SchoolTV: How Much Do You Know About Sleep?

Our bodies produce a sleep chemical called melatonin to help us fall asleep. For younger children it is produced early in the evening, but for teens it occurs around 11.00pm. It is recommended for teenagers to get around nine hours of sleep, but if your adolescent is only falling asleep around midnight, then they are a long way off from being ready to be woken at 7.00am. Being less alert when they arrive at school can impact negatively on their ability to learn and retain information. So, how much do you really know about sleep? Take the quiz SchoolTV quiz and find out.
