Year 9

Chapel This Week

Our Chapel Service this week focused around the idea of failure and the metaphor that we should see our failures as bruises and not scars. Failures give us the opportunity to reflect upon our behaviour and make improvements in order to create change. Ms Wilson gave an accessible and engaging sermon discussing the failures of Peter and Saul and how God has the capacity to forgive us for our failures.

Grand Finals

Many of our students are competing in Semi and Grand Final matches this weekend and we wish them every success on the court or the field.  A special congratulations extends to our Hockey players as the Open A and Open B teams have reached the Grand Finals.

Year Assemblies

This Semester, each Tutor Group will have the opportunity to run a Year Group Assembly. Last Friday, Ms Brodie’s Group (9 Roseby Red) organised and ran the Year Assembly and students across the Year Group thoroughly enjoyed watching their peers assume new responsibilities. The hope of this initiative is for students to develop key leadership skills including having confidence to speak in front of the peer group.
