Year 8

General

We have reached the end of a long, exciting and challenging term. I congratulate Yr 8 students on completing the term with a positive attitude, a skip in their step, and seemingly far less exhaustion than one might expect!

With camp, the Musical, International Day, swimming carnival, extra-curricular activities, representative sport and a host of other activities and commitments, we have managed to squeeze a great deal into the first term of the year. I wish all Yr 8 students and their families a restful and rejuvenating holiday, and look forward to seeing them next term for another busy, exciting and challenging 9 weeks!

International Day

On Tuesday, Redlands celebrated International Day. In Tutor period, students have completed an activity on the UN Declaration of Human Rights, and on International Day students enjoyed an international-themed assembly and incursion, in which they learned about Australian Aboriginal culture, and a number of other activities. In addition, we had some some students in amazing international dress! A special congratulations to Amelie Heard and Callum Wardman-Browne for taking out the costume competition for Yr 8!
