Mullets for Mental Health
Black Dog Institute’s Mullets for Mental Health has encouraged some of our Yr 8 students to shape and grow a mullet for the month of September to raise much-needed funds for mental health research. Fundraising for this wonderful cause allows better research into the early detection, prevention and treatment of common mental health disorders.
Year 8 are quickly reaching their original target of $2000, however we would love to fundraise more.
If you would like to contribute to one of the students who has ‘styled-up’ a mullet, please access the team through:

Yr 8 Chinese Creative Characters Competition
This week, the two Yr 8 Chinese classes participated in an activity called Year 8 Chinese Creative Characters Competition. They have been focusing on the topic Food and Drink this term. In this activity, students demonstrated their character knowledge by choosing their favourite word they have covered this term during our Zoom lessons, and use food or other objects around the house to “write” and create the Chinese characters.
