Yr 8 Camp

The Yarrahapinni Ecology Centre is the base for our camp and students will spend one night at the centre and three nights camping in tents. The centre is located by the beach, which gives students excellent opportunities to explore the sand dunes, rock pools and mangroves nearby. Along with a focus on the natural landscape, our activities include hiking, canoeing, surfing, and a session with rangers learning about the indigenous inhabitants of the area and their culture.

Redlands prides itself on its inclusive, real world, coeducational environment, where each individual student is valued and encouraged to let their light shine. Our Camps are an integral component of a Redlands education. We wish to develop our students to be compassionate, confident and competent citizens in a rapidly changing world. Redlands continues to develop these programs in partnership with The Outdoor Education Group (OEG).

Secondary School Individual Portraits Catch Up Date

Friday 26 March

Any Secondary School student who was absent for their individual portrait photo on 5 March can attend a catch-up opportunity on Friday 26 March at 10.10am and 1.00pm in the Learning Hub classroom LH 2.2.

All students are required to be wearing their full school uniform, including blazers. Boys must be clean-shaven with hair that has been cut so that it is away from eyes, ears and collar. Girls with hair touching the collar should tie it back with navy accessories (elastics, ribbon, scrunchies). No hair dye, make-up or nail polish is permitted. No jewellery is to be worn other than one pair of plain gold or silver studs in ear lobes.

Balmoral Swim

Redlands will be competing in the Balmoral Swim for Cancer Schools Relay Challenge taking place this Sunday 21 March at Balmoral Beach. The Schools Relay Challenge is a community-based initiative where schools help raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute, increase awareness of this important cause and importantly have fun participating in an open water swim relay.

How it works:

  • Students form teams of four – Senior (Yrs 11-12) | Intermediate (Yrs 9-10) | Junior (Yrs 6-8)
  • Each swimmer swims a leg of the relay 200m
  • Participants can swim in their school year category, or an older category
  • Entry cost is $15 for each swimmer
