Reminder
Students have been reminded again this week to stop calling their parents to bring in forgotten items to the school. If it’s medicine then that is considered an essential item, however pencil cases, laptops, sport bags, blazers, ties, exercise books etc are not essential. We are really encouraging responsibility and independence, and ask that parents support us in this.
R U Ok?
The message for R U OK? Day this year is ‘There’s more to say after R U OK?’
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. This week, Cowper Yellow, in their student run Assembly, addressed this important topic. You don’t have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says they’re not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before they’re in crisis, which can make a really positive difference to their life. We have many wonderful supports at Redlands for students and we encourage the conversation, “R U OK?”. Should you have any wellbeing concerns for your children, please do not hesitate to contact us.
