- Thank you to all Yr 7 students who assisted with A Night to Delight (LOTE Department) in Week 2. Students have been praised for their gracious welcomes, eager attention to guests and willingness to help whereever possible. Feedback has been glowing with Language staff reporting that volunteers ‘were amazing!’ Well done, Yr 7. From the picture, we can see volunteers had a thoroughly good time!
- On Wednesday, more than 25 Yr 7 students provided assistance at the Junior School Athletics Carnival. The Junior School sincerely thank all helpers for their time and enthusiasm.
- Congratulations to Maia Healey who has just returned from competing in her first World Championship for skipping in China. Maia and her team placed 4th – an exceptional result!

Yr 8 Electives
On Wednesday, Yr 7 were visited by Mr David Randall, our Dean of Studies. Mr Randall introduced students to the elective selection process for Yr 8. Students received their personalised booklet which provides an overview of courses. Elective choices are due on Friday 24 August. Those students absent on Wednesday were provided with information and their booklet on Friday. If seeking further assistance, please see the Elective Booklet for contact details of key subject staff.
Science Week
Week 4 is Science Week at Redlands. Students will be involved in a Science focused activity during Tutor Time. The Science Department is also hosting Breakfast with a Scientist on Thursday 16 August. The Breakfast is a great opportunity to hear from parents who work in the Science industry about their careers. Everyone who came last year said it was very good and worthwhile.
