International Women’s Day

This week, a number of our Yr 12 students worked to draw together questions and interviews in anticipation of International Women’s Day on Monday 8 March. Many thanks to Julia Parker, Anna-Luisa Feller, Indiana Grace and Harrison Winton for all of their efforts in ensuring a range of voices and perspectives emerged.

HSC Program Student Meeting

Our Coordinator of English, Mrs Anna-Marie Rolon, addressed the HSC cohort on Tuesday. She explained how the marking system at Redlands replicates NESA’s corporate marking system. Our HSC students can therefore expect that the comments and results of internal assessment tasks reflect best practice.

Maths Club

The Maths Club kicked off last Tuesday Week 5 with enthusiastic participation among students from Yrs 7 to 12. This new community, led by Yr 11 student Jessica Wei, aims to encourage and enhance logical thinking and problem-solving skills in a vibrant, collegial atmosphere. A wide range of Club activities, planned by Jessica and supported by the Mathematics Department, include puzzles, challenges, graphic art competitions, fascinating Maths paradoxes and theories, visits from guest speakers, and various service activities. All students are warmly invited to come and explore their passion for Mathematics and be part of the weekly meetings in LH3.3 at 3.30pm Tuesdays.
