Year 12

Community

Thank you to Nathaniel Wong who assisted one of our Yr 7 students who tripped on some stairs. Our School Nurse, Ms Macken, was most impressed with his calm and considerate help.

Careers and Universities

In Pastoral Care over the past week, Ms Salier offered a presentation to each Tutor Group on bonus points and early entry schemes. This week was also packed with university visits from EHL Hospitality School, Switzerland (number 1 in the world), UTS and Monash universities. Next week we will have visits from St Hilda’s College, Melbourne University and UBC Canada. Students are encouraged to check their emails from Ms Salier for further information.

Formal

There has been a boom in ticket sales and it looks as though every student in the cohort will be attending to celebrate the friendships they have developed over their time at Redlands. On the last day of this term, students are permitted to leave at lunch time in order to prepare for the event. Parents are encouraged to attend pre-dinner cocktails in the foyer and will not need to purchase tickets for themselves. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Gala Arts

Yr 12 students have been feverishly preparing for the showcase item of Gala Arts. The finale will no doubt be one to remember and we are looking forward to seeing them take to the stage as a Year Group.

Paul Dillon

On Tuesday Paul Dillon presented to Yr 12 for the final time. He discussed safe driving , drugs and alcohol. As always he is a highly engaging presenter and our students appreciated his down to earth candour. Parents are invited to attend his Parent Workshop on Thursday 14 June (Week 7) in Redlands Hall at 6pm.
