Year 12

News

Breakfast Cruise and Beach Day Permissions: There are a number of students still needing permission granted for Tuesday, Week 10 (see information below). Please make it a priority to grant permission via Redlands Pulse.

IB Visual Arts: This week students set up their body of works in Redlands Hall for the IB Exhibition. The works are most impressive and demonstrate their hard work.

Spirit Week: This week was Spirit Week. Our Prefect body arranged varied and exciting activities in celebration of House, Arts and Sporting spirit at Redlands. Thank you to all of the Yr 12 students who arranged a sweet surprise for Ms Shorter and myself during the Whole School Assembly. We were so touched!

Next Week’s Arrangements

Monday Chapel Service

Students arrive for roll call at 8.45am under the Gym. The Chapel Service will run from 9.00 – 9.45am followed by morning tea from 9.45-10.30am (Top Terraces or under Gym if wet). The students will have normal classes from Periods 3-6.

Tuesday Harbour Cruise

Students are to meet at Mosman Bay Wharf, end of Avenue Road at 8.15am for an 8.30am departure for a three hour cruise. Please note students are not allowed to drive to this event as there is no parking availability at Mosman Bay Wharf. Also, it is crucial students are not late to meet the cruise. Our boat can only dock for a brief period of time as commuter ferries need to use the wharf too. If any students are prone to sea sickness, please bring with you appropriate supplies.

Chartered buses have been organised to take students at the completion of the cruise to travel to Balmoral Beach for a fun day of beach activities and pizza. Remember beach gear, sunscreen and water.

Wednesday Valedictory Rehearsal, Farewell Assembly, Valedictory Prize Giving and Celebratory Dinner

Students will meet at Luna Park Big Top at 8.15am for a prompt start for the Valedictory Rehearsal. At 11.00am buses will transport students to Dunnet Hall, Junior Campus for their Yr 12 Farewell Assembly. For those students who are performing at the Farewell Assembly, separate transportation has been arranged for these students only to depart Luna Park at 10.50am. This Assembly will be followed by lunch from 1.15 – 1.45pm.

Students who are performing at the Valedictory Prize Giving and Celebratory Dinner: Separate transportation has been organised to depart from the Adams Centre at 1.45pm to go directly for Technical Rehearsals at Luna Park.

Students are asked to meet at the Luna Park Big Top no later than 4.15pm in full Winter School uniform. Please make sure you are well groomed, tidy hair (both girls and boys), have polished shoes and no jewellery.

Farewell

As this might be one of my last Note Day articles as Yr 12 Advisor, I’d like to say a big thank you to all the parents and carers of Yr 12. It has been a wonderful experience to be a part of this Year Group’s journey through school. On behalf of Ms Shorter and myself,  thank you and good luck!
