Year 12
Student Achievement
Well done to Jessica Gross, Ellery Prescott, Alex McLellan and Max Symons who presented to Yr 11 students their Yr 12 Science Research Project for HSC Science Extension.
Jess, spoke about the relationship between participation in sport and academic achievement, Ellery spoke about the Forward Propulsion in Sailing, Max spoke about looking into lithium batteries and what affects their efficiency and Alex spoke about the Frequency of OH bonds in alcohols and carboxylic acids. The Head of Science, Ms Sarah Harrison, mentioned that the presentations were “engaging and that each Yr 12 student had excellent knowledge of their topic areas”.
Yr 12 Pizza and PJ Day
Last Friday, Yr 12 enjoyed a delightful Pizza and PJ day—a wonderful occasion that united the Year Group together by allowing Yr 12 to learn in their pajamas and enjoy a rooftop pizza lunch. Witnessing their camaraderie and evident relaxation following the rigors of their Trial Examinations was heartwarming. This past Friday also signified the pivotal mid-term milestone for our Yr 12 students, serving as a reminder of the marathon they’ve undertaken thus far. With merely three and a half weeks remaining until their eagerly anticipated graduation, the countdown begins!
