Year 12

HSC & IB Half Yearly Assessment Feedback

Well done to all of the Yr 12 HSC and IB students for completing their Half Yearly Assessment tasks. When assessments and marks are given back to Yr 12 in the coming weeks, students are encouraged to follow up on receiving individual feedback from their subject teacher, so that they can focus on key areas of improvement which will assist them with strengthening their knowledge of key topic areas for the Trial Examinations next term.

The Class of 2023 Wholesome Wall

It was pleasing to see so many students place words of encouragement and support for Yr 12, as they undertake their assessments,  on the Class of 2023 Wholesome Wall. Some of the kind messages to the cohort included:

  • ‘You’re more than a test score’
  • Things that can’t be measured through tests: Kindness, empathy and growth”
  • “You are capable and intelligent, trust your abilities”

Student Achievement

Congratulations to Ora Bella Cornelius who has been selected to represent NSW at the Australian Gymnastics Championships.

Forbes Fundraiser

A Message from Yr 11 – As some of you may know, Forbes is a small town in NSW, neighbouring Lismore, which went through dire levels of flooding last year. They have slowly been recovering from flood levels reaching a 70 year record!! The environment is devastated and the community is still in desperate need of some assistance from those who can help.

This drive started in the end of Term 1 and is continuing through the beginning of Term 2. Please bring in anything you can manage and it will go a long way!!

Items to include could be:

seedlings
canned goods
Non-perishable foods
notebooks and school supplies
cutlery, utensils, frypans, cutting boards, bowls
financial aid
first aid kits
clothing
sewing items
tools (old hammers)

We will have boxes set up every morning at the front and back gates starting Wk 2 or in the Student Services Centre throughout the day.

Thank you everyone in advance for the consideration and donations!
