Pastoral Care

This week our guest speakers were students from the Class of 2017. They offered valuable and realistic insight into life after school. Each Redlander had a different experience and perspective to offer. From gap years and cadetships to combined degrees and full time work, their message was clear – you are so close to something fantastic! Thank you to Greta Argyropoulos, Chloe Li, Tom MacDonald, Adam McNeil, Natasha Perrett and Katie Treasure for offering their time and honest reflections in order to assist our Year Group.

Legacy Gift

Each Tutor Group has been asked to raise $150 in aid of our Legacy Gift which will be a rooftop sustainable garden and composting unit placed on top of the new Science Centre. The pizza sale last week was a success so the fundraising effort of the Year Group is in full swing.

Athletics Carnival

We were proud to see Yr 12 take a day away from the books to compete at their final Redlands Athletics Carnival. There was much laughter and participation with some unexpected results in track and field events. Natascha Barac suddenly discovered her javelin prowess after all these years while Stella Everett shocked even herself with her overall result as Age Runner Up. Congratulations to all students, with particular thanks to our House Captains for their leadership and creative themes this year. For full and individual results, please see the Sports section.

Thank You

We wish to thank all parents for their stoic support and care throughout this term. Term 2 has tested the resilience and bonds of every student, parent, tutor and teacher of Yr 12. It is truly humbling and also a relief to be part of the tight knit community that has been created by the families that form the Class of 2018. We wish you all the best over the break and encourage the students to consolidate their notes, to work consistently, to independently reflect on their direction and most importantly – to look after themselves. If they can take the time to form a clear picture of how they would like their final term to pan out, they can begin setting it up during the three week break.
