Year 12
As we enter the last few busy weeks of Term 1, we have recently needed to send a lot of important information to Yr 12 parents. Please check your emails for this information. A summary is below:
Half-Yearly Examination Block and Holiday Study Workshops
Students have been given information by our Academic Deans about the upcoming HSC and IB Half-Yearly Examinations upon returning to school in Term 2, and have also been provided with a schedule of holiday study workshops to be run by staff during the April school holidays. This information is also available for them on our Pastoral iLearn page.
Camp
We are all very excited about the upcoming Yr 12 camp in the last week of term – from Tuesday to Friday. Parents should have received a letter providing further information about camp and our COVID-19 safe procedures. A number of us have been busily working to put together a camp schedule of fun activities, ranging from rock climbing to horse riding to yoga. We are also planning evenings such as a trivia night, movie night and a final ‘celebrity dress-up’ Oscar night formal dinner on our last evening. There will be plenty of downtime to bond as a Year Group as well as opportunity to study during the week. I am confident that the camp will provide a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable time for the students and that they will return to Sydney refreshed, motivated and ready to study for their half-yearly examinations. Please ensure you have completed the relevant ‘online’ paperwork you have been requested via email to do.
Redlands Football Team – Report by Callie Forest
The Redlands CIS girls squad won our first round of the CIS cup against Sydney International Grammar School 8-1. This is a fantastic start to the season for our team and we will continue to compete in the knock-out competition, as we hope to see more promising results. Players from Yr 12 are: Brianna Irvine (Captain), Ruby Kelly, Lucy Rouse, Blythe Ogilvie, Lauren Smith and Callie Forest.

COVID-19 Student Support
All Yr 12 students who are at home isolating have the option of setting up a Zoom meeting with either Ms Lucy Benjamin (HSC) or Mr Darren Taylor (IB) to follow up on any class or assessment work they are missing throughout the week. Students should email either Ms Benjamin or Mr Taylor to arrange the Zoom meeting.
Twilight in the Garden
Please join Richard and me at Twilight in the Garden on Friday 1 April, 6-8pm, Fahl Garden, Senior Campus. We look forward to being able to see you all face-to-face for the first time in a while!

Redlands UNICEF Ukraine Fundraising Appeal
Redlands is fundraising to help children and their families in Ukraine. The Redlands community can support by:
-
Donating to the Redlands UNICEF Ukraine Fundraising Appeal
-
Roseby Bake Sale, Monday 28 March. Next week Roseby students will be hosting a Bake Sale and are encouraged to bring baked goods to sell. All students should bring their appetites and some money to purchase baked goods.
By contributing to our fundraising efforts, you’ll be helping UNICEF provide access to basic services including water and sanitation, immunisation and health care, schooling and learning, psychosocial support, and emergency cash assistance for children.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Balmoral Swim Schools Relay Challenge
Redlands will be participating in the 2022 Balmoral Swim Schools Relay Challenge on Sunday 3 April. The Schools Relay Challenge is a community-based initiative where schools help raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute, increase awareness of this important cause and importantly have fun participating in an open water swim relay.
