Year 11

This Week

  • It has been wonderful to see our Yr 11 students enjoy the new surroundings of the New Learning Hub. Our Yr 11 Tutor rooms are now located on Level 4 of the new building which provided much excitement for students and staff this week.
  • A gentle reminder that some male students need to attend to their personal grooming. Hair needs to be neat, tidy and off the collar as well as the expectation that boys are clean shaven for school. Students will be sent home from school to rectify their appearance if their grooming does not meet uniform guidelines.

Student Achievements

The Great Debate

Natalie Watson and Theo Mirrlees-Black represented the students in the Students vs Teachers Careers Week Debate. Whilst the Teachers’ team of Mr Allen, Ms Read and Mr Taylor performed valiantly, the student team won convincingly with the topic “It’s not what you know but who you know that determines success in your career”. Congratulations to Natalie and Theo for this wonderful achievement.

Computer Science

Yesterday, Theo Mirrlees Black and Tylor Wessels participated in the Oxford University Computing Competition. We look forward to hearing how these students progressed through the competition.
