IB Visual Arts

This Term IB Visual Arts students have been exploring Experimental Approaches to Drawing in order to extend their understanding of mark making techniques and to allow them to become more confident with their own practice. In this task – called ‘Kinaesthetic Drawing’ students were required to allow the movement of their body to be directly involved and evident in the mark marking. For some this was through mapping the physical patterns of yoga poses, others it was swimming strokes and for some it was an opportunity to represent and map the unnoticed patterns the body makes as it moves.
