Year 11
Welcome Back
Welcome to the start of the 2024 school year, with a special emphasis on our students beginning Yr 11. We’re excited about the journey ahead and committed to working alongside you to support your child’s learning and well-being as they step into this important phase of their education.
As we commence this journey together, we kindly ask for your help in keeping us updated on any changes in your contact details, address or family circumstances, as well as any updates to your child’s medical history. Redlands Pulse, our Parent Portal is the easiest way to provide this information, ensuring we have the most accurate details to support your child effectively.
Throughout the year, Dr Meta Regis (Assistant Year Advisor), your child’s Tutor and I will be available to assist you. We’re here to discuss your child’s progress and help address any concerns that may arise. We also encourage you to share any achievements or successes your child experiences outside of school, as we believe in celebrating their milestones together.
We understand the importance of effective communication between parents and staff. While we aim to respond to emails and calls within 48 hours, please understand that our teachers juggle various responsibilities. Rest assured, your messages are important to us and will be addressed as promptly as possible.
A warm welcome is extended to the six new students joining our Year 11 cohort:
- Edward Chang – IB Pathway (CY)
- Lauren Dower – IB Pathway (CY)
- Sanjana Krishna – HSC Pathway (RR)
- Hugo Jones – IB Pathway (RW)
- Daniel Paisley – HSC Pathway (MG)
- Owen Thayer – HSC Pathway (RW).
This term, we’ve planned a range of activities and events as part of our Pastoral Program, with a focus on assisting students as they transition into Year 11. These activities include Coaching Conversations (Week 3), Relationship building, Career planning, and Leadership development.
