Yr 11/12 Student-Led Conferences
Thank you to all students and carers for their time and engagement in the Yr 11/12 Student-Led Conferences last night. Students prepared appropriately to drive the conversation and work with their teachers to identify their areas of strength and growth.
Please note, if there are any particular classes that you would like further conversation, please reach out directly to the classroom teachers for academic concerns. If the feedback has caused concern more broadly for student support, please do reach out to the year advisors or the appropriate dean.

IB CAS Projects
Community and Service Projects are fully underway across the cohort. Students have brainstormed creative and meaningful ways to get involved within the community. Please see photos from two events held this last week.
Christmas Carols at Bougainvillea
Last Thursday, students planned and performed a 9-piece band to lead Christmas Carols with the residents at Bougainvillea Retirement Village. The students were animated, enthusiastic, entertaining and were able to incorporate crowd participation. The residents loved having them and truly enjoyed the event.
Congratulations to Annie Zhang, Ahnu Guan, Alisha Tang, Will Howard, Scarlett Thorp, Olivia Everingham, Tara Gold, Sabine Murray and Jocelyn Wang.
REDx Public Speaking Competition took place at the John Roberts Music Centre and was emceed by Harry Fenton. The participants, demonstrating impressive knowledge-base and persuasion skills, delivered both prepared and impromptu speeches on a variety of interesting subjects. These ranged from artificial intelligence and ornithology to a comparative analysis of the Beatles and Kanye West, and even the psychology behind avoiding eye contact!
Well done to Chris Szeto, Kabir Yohannan, Henry Moate, Freddie Yates, Mischa Barac, Will Andrew, Harry Fenton and Anderson Boris for their efforts in organising this enjoyable and educational evening. A special congratulations to Marlon Giacco from Year 9 and Will Andrew from Year 11 for being the overall winners of the competition!
