Yr 12 Privileges
Every year, Year 12 students at Redlands enjoy certain privileges based on their appropriate behaviour and attitude at school. This year, we are initiating lunchtime privileges starting from Week 6, Term 4. Further information has been shared with students and parents through Pulse.
This start date is contingent on all students returning their forms with their respective parent/carer signatures via completion of the attached Permission Slip. No student will be able to access lunchtime privileges until all students have returned their Permission Slip to Ms. Jane Coutts (jcoutts@redlands.nsw.edu.au) in the Secondary School Office. Permissions may be submitted electronically or in hard copy. Students will be formally notified of the exact start date for privileges once all permission forms have been returned.
Thank you for your support from home. Students are encouraged to contact Ms Jansons, Ms Ynson or Mrs Boase with any questions.
Redlands Dance Academy
The Academy will be presenting three separate performances showcasing all genres, spread over two days at The Concourse, Chatswood on Wednesday 15 November and Thursday 16 November. Senior students will perform Thursday 16 November. Curtain rises at 7pm, and falls at 9:25pm. This performance showcases our Senior Academy and Curriculum dancers Year 7 – Year 11.
2023 Australian Mathematics Competition
Last term, 164 Redlanders from Years 7 to 11 sat for the Australian Mathematics Competition held online in Redlands Hall and at Winter School. The AMC is the largest problem-solving competition of its kind, with more than 170 thousand participants from over 2000 schools. The participants are often drawn from the best mathematicians in their school, making achievements even more notable. The following students demonstrated excellence in mathematical problem-solving at the highest levels and will receive awards in student-led assemblies. Congratulations to the following students in Yr 11/12 who received a Distinction: Mischa Barac, Conor Peterson and Jocelyn Wang.
Student Accomplishments
Congratulations to Jasmine! Jasmine Black was contracted to play for Sydney FC in the Women’s Club Championships, taking place in Uzbekistan from 2-14 November. She is very proud of this achievement and we wish her all the best as she embraces this opportunity provided to her.
Photographs from the Junior School Wellbeing Day
Thank you to all the Yr 11/12 students who participated in the Junior School Wellbeing Days this week and the Junior School Chat & Connect. Junior School students and teachers were very impressed with the level of engagement, inspiration and maturity our senior students showcased when working with the younger cohorts. They were reflective in their responses and enthusiastic in getting students involved in the various activities throughout the day. Further information can be found in last week’s Note Day.
