Year 11

Yr 11 Shine at the Yr 7 Orientation Day

Well done to all the Yr 11 students who assisted at the 2023 Yr 7 students with their Secondary School orientation on Tuesday. It was riveting to see the genuine interactions and connections between the Yr 11 and Yr 6 students throughout the day. No doubt, all of the cohort will be supportive mentors for next year’s Yr 7 cohort.

In the photos below, Summer Manning-Lees, Lachlan Binnekamp, Jack Forrest, Charlotte Scamps, Dan Close, Isabella Havryk and Sebastien Griffith did an exceptional job, leading the Technology Wearable Technology Activity where Yr 6 students had to brainstorm, sketch and generate ideas which lead to a prototype of an innovative wearable technology made from paper and plasticine.

Student Achievement

Well done to Ellie Trueman who competed at the NSW Hockey Championships last weekend, scoring four goals for her Northern Sydney and Beaches team.

Yr 12 Lunch Time Privileges

Ms Gemma Van de Peer spoke with all of Yr 11 on Wednesday regarding the Lunch Time Privileges which have been planned to be given to Yr 12 in Week 6. She emphasised the importance of stepping up as a senior student and being role models for Redlands when stepping out into the Cremorne neighbourhood. She also mentioned the importance of working together as a cohort to ensure the very positive aspects of  Redlands are maintained outside of school time.

Every Yr 11 student must bring in their priviledges permission form, which needs to be signed by a parent or guardian by today. If a student doesn’t bring in their permission note by today’s deadline, this will push the privileges back until Term 1, 2023.

Lismore Christmas Appeal

This term, we are calling on the generosity of our Redlands community to support the residents of Lismore. We are asking each student to donate a small Christmas gift to the Northern Rivers Children’s Services. We hope these donated gifts will bring joy to a number of families struggling this Christmas season. Yr11 are to bring in their donations by Monday 21 November.
