Coming Back Stronger Workshop

Last Friday, Yr 11 attended the ‘Coming Back Stronger Workshop’ led by Jen Hawkin from the Kidman Centre, UTS.

Some of the topics covered in the workshop included:

  • Contributors to stress and how to overcome them through sleep, fitness, and nutrition.

  • Focusing on the things students can control in their lives and the importance of changing their mindset from a fixed to a growth mindset.
  • Forming good habits through goal setting and making small consistent habits.
  • Avoiding distractions, setting realistic timeframes to complete work, and being kind to yourself.

The presentation was a good booster for students after the Yearly Exams to prepare Year 11 for their transition into Year 12.

Yr 11 Camp Medical Information

As highlighted in the recent Yr 11 Camp Letter, the Yr 11 Camp is coming up from 10-14 October at High Country Campus, Jindabyne. It is essential that you complete the OEG Medical Form at your earliest convenience. Please click the link below to access the OEG medical forms. You may need to create an account. OEG are using a new tool for collecting medical information which we hope will streamline the process. Any parent or carer can create the account to provide information, and only one entry for each student needs to be made.

There is the facility to upload any anaphylaxis, asthma or other medical plans, submit dietary requirements and request a follow up if required. Please declare and provide information on any prescription medications your child will require during the camp.
