Year 11
Yr 11 Exams
Well done to all of Yr 11 for completing their Yearly Exams. Students will be receiving exam feedback from their subject teachers over the next couple of weeks. This is a good opportunity for Yr 11 to use this feedback to look at areas of improvement in their subject areas as they transition into Yr 12 in Term 4. If students have any concerns about their marks or assessments, they are encouraged to speak directly with their subject teacher or organise a time to meet with their subject teacher outside of class time.
Year 12 Textbooks
Just a reminder that all Year 12 textbooks need to be purchased via Box of Books by tomorrow. If the order is not placed by tomorrow, students will not receive their textbooks for the start of Term 4 (Term 1, Year 12.).
Yr 11 Textiles UpCycle Major Works
Yr 11 Textiles and Design students took on the challenge to upcycle old furnishing into aesthetically pleasing wearable apparel. Each student investigated and explore various fabric testing and decorative techniques. These techniques ranged from laser cutting, digital printing, solvy, machine embroidery, heat gun fabrics and so much more. The practical was supported by folio documentation which showcased their design process and skills using CAD programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Yr 11 Camp Medical Information
As highlighted in the recent Yr 11 Camp Letter, the Yr 11 Camp is coming up from 10-14 October at High Country Campus, Jindabyne. It is essential that you complete the OEG Medical Form at your earliest convenience. Please click the link below to access the OEG medical forms. You may need to create an account. OEG are using a new tool for collecting medical information which we hope will streamline the process. Any parent or carer can create the account to provide information, and only one entry for each student needs to be made.
There is the facility to upload any anaphylaxis, asthma or other medical plans, submit dietary requirements and request a follow up if required. Please declare and provide information on any prescription medications your child will require during the camp.
Uniform Reminder
Yr 11 are reminded to wear their full school Winter Uniform for the remainder of Term 3. There are a few events coming up for Yr 11 towards the end of the term which will require Yr 11 to wear their blazer, along with polished shoes. Jewellery is not to be worn at school (necklaces, rings, dangly earrings, etc) with the school uniform. If for any reason, the correct uniform cannot be worn, please email the Year Adviser.
Yr 11 Workshop: Coming Back Stronger
Tomorrow, Yr 11 will be participating in the Coming Back Stronger workshop, which is run by the University of Technology, Sydney. Coming Back Stronger aims to help students get back on track with their studies through the provision of evidence-based psychological strategies to improve motivation, energy, focus and optimism for the future.
Alumni Zoom Careers Zoom
On Monday Yr 11 will have the opportunity to speak with Alumni over Zoom. They will be able to explore things like ATAR and career paths. We have a range of Alumni students who can select to listen to including in the fields of Construction & Engineering, Psychology, HR, Performing Arts, Finance & Investment, Law & Sustainability, Journalism, Entrepreneurship, Technology, Project Management and Medicine.
ISA Athletics Carnival
The ISA Athletics Carnival is taking place next Tuesday at Sydney Olympic Park. Students who have been selected for the ISA Athletics team, will need to meet at the Fahl Garden at 7am. The team will depart Sydney Olympic Park at 5:30pm and should arrive back at the Redlands Senior Campus at 6pm. There will be a team meeting and training session this coming Friday at Balmoral Oval after school with a bus dropping the team at the oval at 3:30 and a bus returning students back to school by 5:15. If there is rain on Friday, the team meeting/training will be moved to the Junior School. Best of luck to all students competing at the ISA Athletics Carnival.
Vinnies Drive
Yr 9 are running a service project this term that will involve students from across the Secondary School bringing in sanitary items for the homeless men of Sydney.
Could Yr 11 please get behind this cause by bringing in any of the following items:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Band-aids
- Hand sanitiser
The items will go towards homeless men living in Sydney. It would be great if Yr 10 and Yr 11 students could bring any of these items to school so we are able to package them and give them to people in need.
A collection box will be located in the school office every day during Week 8 this term where you are able to drop off your supplies.
