Thank you to these students for giving up their time over the weekend and volunteering at the expo.

Junior School Open Morning

Sammy Hely and Jack Lazzarotto both spoke at the Junior School Open Morning on Tuesday. Both Sam and Jack reflected on their journey from Redlands House Preschool to Secondary School and also highlighted how their passion for cocurricular activities began when they joined the Dance and Music programs at the Junior School. Both students spoke authentically and really captivated the parents who attended the open morning.

Well done Sammy and Jack!

Yr 11 Cambodia Hot Chocolate Fundraiser.

Next Thursday 25 August, Yr 11 will be running a Hot Chocolate fundraiser to raise for M’Lop Tapang School in Cambodia. All the funds raised will go towards purchasing the food for the daily meals which are given to the students each day. A cup will be $3, and for an extra dollar, marshmallows and whipped cream will come with it.

11 IPT Real World Information Systems Challenge

Last Wednesday, 11 IPT students completed the Real World Information Systems Challenge. In teams, students had to redesign the logo for one of four real information systems: Spotify Music Database, Trivago Reservation System, Uber Eats food ordering system and the Amazon products database. Students also had to draw a context diagram, information system in context diagram and data flow diagram and design and laser cut a keyring with the updated logo for their chosen information system. Students were only given 40 minutes to undertake all these challenges and every team successfully completed the challenge!

Well done!
