Year 11

Welcome Ms Mukherjee and Mr Das 

A warm welcome to our two new Yr 11 Tutors who have joined the Yr 11 Pastoral Team. Ms Victoria Mukherjee is joining Cowper Blue and Mr Santanu Das is joining Dumolo Red. Victoria is in the Learning Support Faculty and Santanu is in the Innovative Design Faculty.

On that note, we bid farewell to Ms Abby Walker who has taken on the role as the Assistant Yr 9 Advisor in place of Ms Vanessa Wang who has taken her long service leave. Abby has done such an exceptional job, taking care of each and every student in Cowper Blue as they transitioned to their senior studies. Abby will be dearly missed by our pastoral team, but we know she won’t be too far away.

Student Achievement

Well done to all the Yr 11 dancers who competed at the Extreme Dance Competition last term.  

The following students performed and should be commended for their outstanding results:

Congratulations to Lachlan Binnekamp and his U18 Northbridge Academy FC team who finished runners-up in the Kanga Cup. 

Congratulations Ellie Trueman who represented CIS at the NSW CIS Hockey Championships this week in Newcastle. 

Athletics Carnival Results

Congratulations to the following students who achieved Age Champion and Runners Up Age Champion at the Senior School Athletics Carnival last term: 

U17 Girls: Age Champion – Maddie D’Almeida, Runner Up: Maddie Barwise 

U17 Boys: Age Champion – Keian Murphy, Runner Up: Lachlan Binnekamp

Congratulations to Emilie Bessell who won the Intermediate Girls Division Champion and also the Champion of Champions 100m and to Maddie D’Almeida who won the Senior Division Champion.

eSafety Scroll Campaign

Congratulations to Tobias Bowgerald who spoke with Studio 10 about eSafety’s Scroll Campaign.  Tobias has been working on the Scroll Campaign with five other young adults about how to be safe whilst online and what Esafety can contribute if something goes wrong when using online social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Youtube. Tobias spoke so eloquently and confidently when speaking to Studio 10 about his personal experiences with social media. Tobias will be speaking about the Scroll Campaign at the next Year 11 Year Assembly and 10, 11 and 12 Assembly. Well done Tobias!
