Year 11
Grease, The School Musical
Last week in Note Day I forgot to mention our two wonderful students who helped out in the Grease Production behind the scenes – Charles Blake and Alex Gibbs – so a big thank you to them this week for the hours and hard work they put in to enable the Musical to go ahead.
Redlands Olympic Challenge
Roseby gets to Tokyo first and takes the Olympic Gold!
As the Tokyo Olympics sadly came to an end, so too has the Redlands Olympic Challenge. A big congratulations to all the Yr 11 students in Roseby who contributed to a total of 9,079 km to take the gold medal, followed by Dumolo with a total of 8,737km and McDouall with a total of 6,242km! Together, we made it to Tokyo!

Sleep is your Superpower!
It’s simple, really: your body and mind need sleep in order to function properly. But actually, getting a good night’s sleep isn’t always so simple, especially with our new lockdown routines. Luckily, Lara Luitingh from our counselling team has got some information, tips and hints in a useful video on things our young people can do to make it easier to get enough Zs.
Attendance and Routine
Students are expected to attend all Zoom lessons. If a student is unable to attend any class, please promptly provide an explanation via email to ssabsence@redlands.nsw.edu.au, and ideally copy me into the email. As Remote Learning continues, we are learning the value and importance of structure and routine in maintaining engagement in learning. Mornings are key to setting a good routine for the day. If your child is finding it more challenging to get up in the morning, help them find something to look forward to in the morning, whether that is a cup of tea, a bike ride or a refreshing shower. Sticking to a routine will help them feel more productive and fulfilled throughout the day and make sleep easier in the evening.
I hope you all have a great week.
