Year 11

House Spirit Day

Tuesday saw a new event on the Redlands calendar – the House Spirit Fair. This was organised by Yr 12 students and involved a range of activities, both indoors and outdoors, to help develop House spirit before the annual Athletics Carnival next week. Many students participated in activities such as guessing which teacher was each baby photo, watching a movie, playing dodge ball and competing in chess. As the afternoon was run in House groups, it provided an opportunity for peer support relationships to strengthen across the year groups, in particular with many Yr 11 students knowing Yr 7s in their role as Peer Support leaders this year.

Athletics Carnival

Next Thursday 17 June is the annual Redlands Athletics Carnival, which is a compulsory event for the whole school to attend. Please can parents ensure they have granted permission on Redlands Pulse as soon as possible. The event is on the penultimate day of Semester 1 and is a great opportunity for Yr 11 students to relax and have fun after working so hard over the past two terms. We appreciate your support in ensuring your child attends this compulsory event, and build life-long memorable moments when looking back on their final two years of school.
