School Photographs

The following photographs will be taken by Advanced Life on Wednesday 11 March on the Senior Campus. Students are required to wear blazers.

• Sibling photos in the Redlands Hall from 7.15 – 8.20am.  Junior School siblings are welcome to have their photo taken on 11 March if they were unable to attend the Junior Campus sibling photo day last week.
• Cocurricular Dance and Debating during recess and lunch.

Online HSC Minimum Standards Test

In 2016, the NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA) announced that all HSC students would be required to demonstrate a minimum standard of Literacy and Numeracy before they could be awarded the HSC. You have recently been sent a letter from Mr David Randall, Dean of Academic Studies, explaining this process. Mr Randall also addressed the Year Group in assembly this week to inform the students that they will have an opportunity to do online practice tests starting next Friday and will sit the actual tests during the Yr 10 Examination block in Term 2. Although passing these tests is not a requirement of the IB, Redlands will be requiring all Yr 10 students to take them, regardless of whether they intend to select the HSC or IB for next year. Student Achievements

Ella Delaney was one of 16 sailors selected for the SailGP Inspire Program this past week. As part of this program she was trained to sail RS Cat 14 racing catamarans on Sydney Harbour on the same course as the F50 super Cats. Winning most of their practice races and attaining three 1st places over six races during the point score, Ella and her sailing partner from another school achieved 2nd place overall at the end of the series, missing out on the Sydney Series Championship by just one point. What an amazing achievement for Ella!
