NSW School Vaccination Program 2019

Each year NSW Health works with schools to offer the vaccines recommended for adolescents by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). On Wednesday 12 June, the Yr 10 Meningococcal ACWY single dose vaccine will be offered. Parent Information Kits have been handed to students and we ask that you read all the information provided, complete the immunisation consent form and return the completed form to your child’s Tutor before Monday 3 June. If your child has received any vaccines in the past 12 months, please include a copy of the vaccination record attached to the immunisation consent form, as a separate sheet or as an email to smatthews@redlands.nsw.edu.au. This could be a report from your GP, or a letter from you including the name of the vaccine and the date given. Further information about the Meningococcal AWCY vaccine is available here.

STEAM USA Trip 2020

A fabulous new opportunity has been developed for students interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) subjects or career options, a STEAM USA trip in 2020. It is an educational tour of America’s flourishing technology epicentres, innovative art exhibitions, geological landscapes and man-made structures with strong curriculum and cross curricula links. The tour will be visiting Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Phoenix. The trip is targeted to Yrs 9, 10 and 11 students in 2020 (current Yrs 8, 9 and 10). An information evening is on Monday 3 June at 6.00pm and to register interest in attending, please complete the quick survey via the students Redland Google account (access is only using a student Redlands account).
