Year 10

Secondary School Study and Organisation

On Monday afternoon, academic staff were fortunate to listen to a presentation from Dr Prue Salter in relation to preparing students for study and revision. Dr Salter proved a most engaging speaker and there were many takeaways for our Yr 10 students that we will implement during our Year Assemblies and Pastoral Program through Tutors. Dr Salter’s website is a very valuable resource and one that all parents and students have access to. There is a wealth of resources on this website but some particularly worthwhile units are Developing Motivation, Dealing with Distractions and Overcoming Procrastination.

Swimming Carnival

The Secondary School Swimming Carnival will be held next Tuesday 19 February at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. This is a compulsory school event that contributes to House and School spirit. As this event is held off-site, it is a requirement that all parents and carers login to Redlands Pulse and grant online permission by Monday 18 February. If you are having difficulty accessing Redlands Pulse, please follow this link for further instructions and trouble shooting. A full Swimming Carnival Program including all transport, uniform, rules and event details is attached to the event in Redlands Pulse.

Student Achievements

Sebastian Dobson competed in the ISA Tennis Trials on Tuesday. He played really well and as a result made the ISA team. He will now represent ISA at the NSWCIS trials next Wednesday 20 February and in a representative match against CAS (Tuesday 5 March) and GPS (Tuesday 19 March). Congratulations Seb on this well deserved achievement.
