Year 10 Camp: Building Resilience and Memories

Last week, our Year 10 students returned from their camp at Myall Lakes National Park, bringing back not only tired smiles but also many wonderful memories. The camp offered a variety of challenges, including hiking, biking, and canoeing through stunning landscapes, as well as the adventure of sleeping in tents amidst diverse weather conditions. The grit and determination demonstrated by our students in tackling these challenges were remarkable. These experiences are more than just moments of fun—they are life lessons in resilience and perseverance that students will carry forward. 

All My Own Work Programme Completion

On Monday, Year 10 cohort completed the All My Own Work programme, an important step in preparing for their academic journey ahead. This programme, an essential requirement by NESA for all HSC students, equips them with the skills to maintain academic integrity and avoid malpractice. While not mandated by the IB, Redlands includes it to ensure students gain a deeper understanding of ethical research practices. These skills will be invaluable as they transition into their senior years. 

Commercialisation Challenge at Macquarie University

Next week, our students will participate in the Commercialisation Challenge at Macquarie University, an enriching opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills. Today, Ms. Van de Peer and Ms. Green briefed students about the programme’s structure, expectations for behaviour, and engagement during the event. 

Students are reminded to: 

– Wear full school uniform, including a blazer. 

– Bring snacks for morning tea due to limited break times in the morning. 

Ms. Green has shared the event schedule and bus timings with students and carers. Please ensure these details are reviewed to support smooth participation in the day’s activities. 

Harbour Cruise Reminder

The much-anticipated Harbour Cruise is just around the corner! If you haven’t yet secured your tickets, please do so by Sunday, 24th November. This promises to be a fantastic event!
