Building Teamwork Ahead of Australian Business Week

This Monday, students began honing their teamwork skills and exploring their unique strengths in preparation for Australian Business Week (Week 7). With the invaluable guidance of Entropolis and Marlee,  students explored the dynamics of high-performance, professional teams and what each individual can bring to a team setting – an essential skill in both education and business.

Year 6 Connection Program: Revisiting the Junior Campus

On Tuesday, over 30 students made a special trip to the Junior Campus as part of the Year 6 connection program. During their visit, they answered questions and shared Senior Campus experiences with younger students. This was a reflective and nostalgic experience, as many of our Year 10 students revisited familiar classrooms and recalled memories from their time in Junior School.  A big thank you to all those who participated, making it a memorable day for both campuses.

Public Speaking: UN Youth Voice Competition

Also on Tuesday, three of our talented students – Maria Smith, Jerry Sun, and Marcus Richardson -represented our school in the UN Youth Voice Public Speaking competition, with support from Ms Kang and Mr Skinner. Each student showcased their unique perspectives and proposed thoughtful solutions on important global issues, demonstrating their passion for positive change. Congratulations to all participants for their commitment and exceptional presentation skills.

Critical Reasoning Workshop: Exploring Communication Without Language

On Wednesday, 13 of our Year 10 students attended a Critical Reasoning workshop held in Redlands Hall. Supported by Dr Regis and Dr Poon. The workshop challenged students to reflect on a thought-provoking question posed by disability advocate Helen Keller: “Can humans communicate without language?” This workshop encouraged critical thinking and deeper discussion, broadening students’ perspectives on communication and understanding.
