Musical: Legally Blonde
Tonight the curtain rises on the Redlands School Musical Legally Blonde. We extend our warm wishes and a huge congratulations to the Yr 10 students who are courageously taking to the stage to ‘let their light shine’ or working hard in the Production Crew backstage to ensure that the performances run smoothly for those on stage.
Break a leg, Yr 10 cast and crew! May your performances be nothing short of amazing!
Balmoral Swim – Sunday 24 March
The Balmoral Swim Schools Relay Challenge is back! On Sunday morning, 24 March, local schools will come together to raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute and have fun participating in an open water swim relay. Each team consists of four swimmers, and each swimmer will swim a 200 m leg of the relay. Participants can choose to swim in their year category or an older category, and the entry cost is a $20 donation per swimmer.
Not a swimmer? No problem! You can still support the cause by donating to the Redlands fundraising page to help raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute. This is a fantastic opportunity to come together, have some fun, and raise funds for a great cause.
Contact Ms Riley at rriley@redlands.nsw.edu.au for more information.
Navigating assessments due on the same day as Sports Carnivals and Cocurricular Events
For all students in Years 7 to 10 who are absent due to a sports carnival or cocurricular event and have a take-home assessment that falls on the same day, they are still expected to submit the assessment on time. No deadline extensions will be granted.
If the assessment is a formal in class assessment or exam and a student will miss it due to the carnival or cocurricular event, they should inform their teacher at least a week in advance so that the teacher can arrange an alternative day and time for the student to sit the formal assessment or exam.
NSW School Vaccination Program 2024
Each year NSW Health works in partnership with schools to offer the vaccines recommended by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) for adolescents as part of the school vaccination program.
The following vaccine is offered free to Year 10 students at school on Thursday 11 April.
- Meningococcal ACWY vaccine
The vaccination will only be provided at school if consent has been received. To provide consent for vaccination online follow this link.
Please provide consent by Wednesday 10 April to register your child for the clinic. Students whose consent is not completed before this deadline are to attend the vaccination clinic catch up opportunity on Thursday 7 November.
If you or your child do not have a Medicare card, consent can still be provided by requesting a paper-based consent form directly from the Year Advisor.
To help answer questions you may have regarding providing vaccination and online consent, please visit the NSW Health website.
