Yumeto Lee

Recently, Yumeto, participated in the NSW Senior League State Baseball Championships as a part of the Ryde Hawks Black Baseball team. This team is comprised of all-stars from the Ryde Hawks Senior league division, and we are thrilled to announce that Yumeto made the team for the second year in a row.

Despite tough competition, the Ryde Hawks Black team made it to the semi-final playoffs and ended up finishing third overall. Yumeto played an instrumental role in the team’s success, contributing to his team’s batting performance throughout the tournament. We are incredibly proud of his hard work and commitment to achieving such an outstanding result.

As Yumeto continues to pursue his passion for baseball, we are excited to see him compete in the upcoming Down Under Classic held in the Gold Coast. This tournament presents him with an opportunity to showcase his skills and potentially be selected to tour the USA.

We applaud Yumeto for his dedication to his sport and his outstanding achievements, and we wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors. We look forward to seeing our students continue to excel in their passions and achieve great success.

Imogen Jeffrey-Bilich

Imogen has been awarded the Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy ‘Student of the Month’ award for May in the years 9-10 category. Imogen received this prestigious award due to her outstanding participation in the Alana Haines Awards, a major ballet competition held every two years in Wellington, New Zealand. For the competition, Imogen performed the ‘Lilac Fairy’ variation from the Sleeping Beauty ballet and a contemporary solo in front of a packed theatre and panel of judges. Her performances were impressive, and she showcased her exceptional talent and dedication to the art of ballet.

In addition to her competition performance, Imogen demonstrated incredible dedication to her training by attending several long days of ballet workshops in the second week of the holidays. Her commitment to her craft is truly inspiring, and we are proud to have her represent our school in the world of dance.

We would like to congratulate Imogen on her well-deserved award and commend her for her hard work and passion for ballet. We are excited to see where her talent and dedication take her in the future and look forward to seeing her continue to excel in the world of dance.

Sophie Yu

We are thrilled to announce that Sophie has won the North Sydney local final round of the Plain English-Speaking Award held on 28th April at Northern Beaches Secondary School. This is a prestigious public speaking competition organised by The Arts Unit of the NSW Department of Education, and we are extremely proud of Sophie for her exceptional performance.

Sophie represented Redlands at the competition and delivered an outstanding speech, impressing the judges and the audience with her eloquence and confident stage presence. Her remarkable achievement has qualified her to compete in the upcoming regional finals, which are scheduled for May.

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Sophie for her well-deserved win and commend her for her hard work and dedication in preparing for this competition. We would also like to express our appreciation to the coaches and teachers who provided unwavering support throughout the journey. Without their guidance and encouragement, Sophie’s success would not have been possible.

Once again, congratulations to Sophie on this remarkable achievement, and we wish her all the best in the upcoming regional finals.

NSW School Vaccination Program 2023

Each year NSW Health works in partnership with schools to offer the vaccines recommended by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) for adolescents as part of the school vaccination program.

The following vaccine is offered free to Year 10 students at school on Thursday 25 May.

  • Meningococcal ACWY vaccine

Students who miss this clinic date will be offered a catch up opportunity on Friday 24 November.

The vaccination will only be provided at school if consent has been received.  To provide consent for vaccination online, you will need:

Benefits of online consent for parents/carers:

  • SMS notifications when vaccinations are given
  • easy updating of your child’s details online

If you or your child do not have a Medicare card, consent can still be provided by requesting a paper-based consent form directly from the Year Advisor.

Non-perishable foods
