Student Attendance

If a student is absent from school an explanation must be provided by a parent/carer to ssabsence@redlands.nsw.edu.au. If your child is absent due to illness, we thank you for providing details of your child’s symptoms. Any student absent with COVID-19 related symptoms must complete a PCR COVID-19 test and evidence of a negative test result must be provided to the School prior to the student returning to campus.

Yr 10 Textiles

In Ms. Alan’s Yr 10 Textile students explored the unique properties of a range of textiles and the ways in which they perform. By constructing a simple textile item as a trouser, students gained a broad understanding of how textile items are made. They experimented with various colouration techniques and implement these techniques into the trouser. Students drew inspiration from a childhood story to build their conceptual designs. 

Yr 10 IST Digi Ed Stop Motion Awards.

In Week 1 of Term 4, 10 IST Students attended the remote Digi Ed Day which was a day dedicated to students learning about claymation along with students directing, filming and producing their own claymation from home using clay, found objects, their smartphones and stop motion software. 10 IST students had to design the characters for their claymation out of clay and then design a stop animation 15 – 30 second TVC based upon either a charity, covid safety or encouraging covid vaccinations. 

Congratulations to the following students who received the Yr 10 Students Choice Award for Best Stop Motion Picture which was voted by all of Yr 10, The Special Commendation for Outstanding Stop Animation Award and the M.V.P Award (Ms Van de Peer Award) which went to the student Ms Van de Peer believed had the most creative, engaging, and technically sound animation.
