Year 10

ISA XC 2021

Last Wednesday 26 May, Yr 10 had strong representation at the ISA XC Carnival at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. It was so pleasing to see the comradery amongst all of our Yr 10 students. As much as running is an individual sport, there was so much encouragement by all members of each team before, during and after their race.

Highlights on the day include Lily Swift who finished in 8th place in the 15 yrs 4k and Maddie Barwise who finished in 9th place in the 16 yrs 4k. In the 16 yrs boys, Keian Murphy finished in 5th place and Sebastien Griffith finished in 7th place. All four students have qualified for the CIS XC which is an exceptional result. A special mention to Sam Chubb, Will Pearson and Josh Hicks who all competed up an age group in the 17 yrs boys 6k. Best of luck to all of our Yr 10 students who will be competing at the CIS XC carnival on Thursday 10 June.

The highlight of the day was our Intermediate boys taking out 1st place overall out of 16 schools. The last time we won this trophy was 6 yrs ago in 2015! Our girls finished in 2nd place overall which too was an exceptional team result!

Senior Studies Interviews

Over the next 2 weeks, Yr 10 will be meeting with a senior member of staff for a one on one meeting to discuss their senior years of study. All students have been given specific times and dates and will need to attend the meeting with their completed Senior Studies Reflection Sheet. A list of all the dates and times can be accessed by students on the Yr 10 Pastoral iLearn page. I hope that students find the meeting valuable and will leave the meeting with clear direction as to what their senior studies will look like whether that be HSC or IB.
