Year 10

Camp

We are very excited that the Yr 10 Camp is going ahead next week. The location we are going to is the beautiful Myall Lakes where the students will be camping around the lake in various locations and enjoying the outdoor life and fun activities. I have spoken to the students this week about the importance of the camp on their mental and physical wellbeing. We understand that some students may be apprehensive about camp, but we appreciate your support in encouraging your children to have a positive attitude, as I am sure they will look back on the experience with fond memories. Please contact David Gregory, Head of Outdoor Education, if you have any questions about the logistics of the camp. Information has been sent to parents and most have completed the required documentation. If you are still yet to give permission on Redlands Pulse, we ask that you do so as a matter of urgency. We will be putting together a folder of photos from the week and sharing this with your children at the end of the week, so you will be able to see what an amazing time they had.

Peer Support

In Week 6, Yr 10 will all be participating in a Peer Support training day, where Yr 11 students will provide information and training to the Yr 10s for the role of Peer Support to Yr 7 students 2021. After the training, all Yr 10 students will be given the opportunity to sign up to become a Peer Support leader where they will be involved in helping Yr 7 students settle into Redlands next year in a number of activities throughout the year. This is a wonderful opportunity for students who are keen on leadership roles as they enter their senior years.
