Summer Work Experience

Feed your Mind, Feed the World Work Experience

Tasmania, 5-7 December

See first-hand the science behind some of Tasmania’s leading agricultural businesses, including a robotic dairy, commercial flower producer, cider orchard, vegetable processor and more. Feed your mind, Feed the world is a three-day camp for students wanting to learn about exciting career opportunities in agricultural science. This event is run by the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture, responsible for teaching agricultural science at the University of Tasmania. The experience is free to attend and open to Year 11 and 12 students Australia wide.

305 Squadron “City of Northern Beaches” Australian Air Force Cadets

Now recruiting for the 2023 January intake. Caters for youth from 12/13 to 18 years of age. 

The aim of the Australian Defence Force Cadets, which includes the AAFC, is “By predominantly voluntary effort, to better equip young people for community life by fostering initiatives, leadership, discipline and loyalty through training programs which are also designed to stimulate an interest in a particular arm of the Defence Force.”

New Health Science Major at Sydney University

The new major – High-Performance in Sport – represents the pinnacle context of sports science application. The major aims to provide experience and preparation for the transitional step from undergraduate to postgraduate or potential industry employment. NDIS | Pathways to Post School Life

Thursday 3 November 2022, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) would like to invite NSW and ACT students with a disability in Years 10-12, their parents, carers and education professionals, to attend a virtual information session.

This is a session about building skills and paving a pathway to post school life. We will discuss a range of NDIS-funded supports and other assistance to help young people build skills to prepare for their transition, and support them in achieving employment and other goals, post-school.
