This is Redlands
It was a genuine pleasure to attend the Preparatory, Junior and Secondary School Parent Contact Group Meetings this week to introduce the Community Engagement team and our function within the School. I was delighted to discuss the needs of our community through the dedicated and passionate parents who work on behalf of us all to ensure we remain connected, included and supported.
Next week sees the launch of the Redlands app. The app provides a quick and easy connection with the school for all of the important information our community seeks – contact information, term dates, events, sports fixtures, school and absentee notices, and other key links – all from the palm of your hand. It also allows parents to subscribe to specific groups of interest without having to see information that is not of interest to you. The app will be enhanced as the year unfolds and we look forward to receiving your feedback through the continuing development process. Details on downloading and installing the app will be advised shortly.
The Second Hand Uniform Sale gets underway next week and our thanks to the army of volunteers, led by the Redlands Parent and Friends Association (RPFA) and Uniform Shop, for their assistance in delivering this important event. Proceeds from the sale will be dedicated towards the means-tested Redlands Foundation Scholarship Fund.
We continue to work on a number of initiatives to support a personal reconnection of our community following a disruptive 2020, and we look forward to sharing these with you as the term unfolds.
In the interim, please continue to engage with the significant and diverse experience of our class and Year Group parents, the RPFA and Friends of Groups that support our many and varied cocurricular activities.
Thank you for your continued guidance and support, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback or questions.
