HICES Football Selection
In a revised trial format we were able to take a Football team out to the HICES Football Gala Day at St Paul’s Grammar in Cranebrook. After five rounds of competition where Redlands did not have a goal scored against them, we went into a possible and probable format. From that the HICES team was announced. Congratulations to Mark Rolfe, Owen Beck and Louis Dobson who were selected in the 2023 HICES team that will compete at the CIS championships next term.
CIS Girls Cricket
Congratulations to Sammy Halliday and Jennifer Todd who have just returned from NSW PSSA Cricket Championships in Bathurst. CIS placed 7th and was a great experience for the girls.

HICES Swimming
During the week we took our swim squad of 30 out to the HCIES Swimming Championships. All students represented Redlands and quite a few students achieved a personal best across a variety of strokes. Our Senior girls relay team placed 3rd in their heats with our Junior Girls placing 2nd. Our Senior Boys and Junior Boys relay team placed 3rd. Standout performances included but not limited to Hollidai Wang in the Girls 9 years 50m Freestyle, Max Papageorgiou in the Boys 8 years, Amelia Roy in the Girls 12 years Breaststroke, Milehna Meyer in the Girls 11 years 50m Breaststroke, Sasha Gordon in the Boys 11 years 50m Breaststroke. Redlands was 2nd overall in the Schools Cup which is a great achievement for us at HICES. The following students have been selected to represent HICES at CIS Swimming on Wednesday 22 March. We wish them the best of luck as they prepare for that carnival.
