The next Friends of Snowsports (Zoom) meeting is on Monday 3 August at 6.00pm.

Snow Australia Interschools Update – 21 July 2020

Snow Australia is respectful of the industry’s primary goal of delivering a safe recreational experience for its customers.

Perisher will host events between Sunday 6 and Friday 11 September. All competitors and parent (volunteers) must complete a 2020 event waiver on the Redlands Booking and Payment form.

Proposed race schedule for individual entries:

  • Sunday 6 September – D5 Alpine, D4 Moguls (PM)
  • Monday 7 September – D4 Alpine, D5 Skier X (AM) D6 Skier X, D5 Moguls (noon), D6 Alpine and D4 Skier X (PM)
  • Tuesday 8 September – D5 and 4 SBGS (AM), D5 and 4 SGX (PM) / Amelia McGuiness Memorial Time Trials and Alpine Masters and Apprentices / Snow Australia Slopestyle Futures Camp
  • Wednesday 9 September – D3 Skier X (AM), D3 Alpine (Evening) / D1, 2, 3 Slopestyle SB (noon) and Slopestyle Ski (PM)
  • Thursday 10 September – D2 Alpine, D3 Moguls (AM), D1 SBX (noon), D2 Skier X, D1 Moguls (PM), D1 and 2 SBGS (evening)
  • Friday 11 September – D1 Alpine, D2 and 3 SBX (AM), D1 Skier X (noon), D2 Moguls (PM).

Results will be the best run of two runs for individuals.

Snow Australia Interschool Event Entry

Individual event entry charges are $49pp per event. The annual Athlete Registration charge will not be charged in 2020.                                                          

All Redlands first round invitations must complete entries by Friday 24 July. Bookings are now open here. Payment and completion of the waivers confirms your child’s attendance.

The second round of invitations must contact me by Friday 24 July so I can submit an Expression of Interest for the events you are eligible for:

  1. Top 25 individual result from the 2019 Regional Championships, with competitive times/scores.
  2. Participants who received an invite into one event and request a second event eg. Alpine and Ski Cross.
  3. Previous participation in Interschools with a competitive result.

All Redlands entries must go through me as the School Coordinator. Competitors’ tickets will be available if a student has not purchased an Epic pass. Volunteer and Parent Manager passes will be available for parents.

Students are encouraged to maintain their fitness in anticipation of the Interschools Event. Dryland training and exercises are available on the Snowsports iLearn page.
