Snow Australia Interschools Update

Snow Australia is respectful of the industry’s primary goal of delivering a safe recreational experience for its customers and has decided to announce some modifications to provide greater certainty to participating schools, students, and families during the coming weeks. Accordingly, Snow Australia provides the following advice:

There will be only one Interschools Snowsports Competition in NSW at Perisher. There will be no National Championships.
Perisher will host events between Sunday 6-Friday 11 September and will incorporate the Amelia McGuiness event on 9 September.

To ensure event and participant safety, qualification invites will be extended to athletes who placed in the top 25 individuals (female 25 / male 25) for Alpine GS, Ski Cross, Snowboard GS and Snowboard Cross at the 2019 regional Interschools Championships.

For Moguls and Slopestyle Events (if held), the event qualification invites will include athletes who achieved a minimum score of 24 (out of 60) in Moguls (from 2019 Regional Championships results) and 55 (out of 100) in Slopestyle (from the 2019 NSW Championships results).

NSW Interschools are planning to release more information about the planned Interschools Competition today. Stay tuned.
