Matthew Talbot Christmas Collection

Yr 12 have traditionally had the rewarding opportunity to volunteer their time at the Matthew Talbot men’s shelter; however, COVID-19 restrictions have made it difficult for us to carry out this important face-to-face work. This Christmas, Yr 12 will be collecting funds to help support the shelter. These funds will be used to purchase and donate gifts that will surely bring a little happiness during this difficult time.

There is a special joy in giving back during the Christmas season and we encourage students to dig deep. Collections will take place during Tutor Time in Week 6. Funds can also be collected electronically using the details below:

Toys ‘n Tucker

There’s no better way to share the joy of Christmas with people in need than through giving! This November, students across both the Junior and Senior Campuses will be supporting Anglicare’s Toys ’n Tucker Christmas appeal. Our Junior students will have the opportunity to purchase toys and our students in Yrs 7-9 will be collecting food items. Anglicare will take donated food and gifts and distribute hampers to thousands of families in our community who need assistance.

Yr 10 Dodgeball Competition for Headspace

Each year, Headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through Headspace centres in 124 communities across Australia. From online and phone counselling services, vocational services, and presence in the school, Headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drug services to work and study support.

A group of incredible Yr 10 students will be hosting a schoolwide dodgeball competition in Week 7 (lunchtime) to raise funds for this great cause.

  • There will be a Junior competition (Yrs 7-9) and a Senior one (Yrs 10-12)
  • Everyone can sign up in teams of 7 through the Google form on the Service iLearn page)
  • On the day, student leaders will collect $5 from participating students.
