Mother’s Day Classic
Last Sunday Redlands was represented by over 80 runners and walkers at the Mother’s Day Classic. Despite the showers there was a great Pink spirit in all of the events and our Pink Redlands Community Support tshirts looked great. We came 3rd in the Schools category for registrations.
Redlands Pink Sports Round – Saturday, 23 June
This year we will again be hosting a Redlands Home round of Sports at Macquarie. Most teams will be having home games and most sports are at Macquarie on this date. This is a wonderful day of school spirit and we encourage all students to come and cheer on their friends even if not competing on the day. This is also a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Network Australia. Students will be able to buy pink socks ($15) for their games and it would be great if all teams were on the field sporting the pink legs. It is also another opportunity to bring out your Redlands Community Support Tshirts ($20) and the Redlands Pink Caps ($15), available from the Uniform Shop. Proceeds from the sale of these will go to the Breast Cancer Network.
On the day there will be a huge bake sale and sausage sizzle. We are also looking for students and parents with musical talent to sign up to participate in Busking for Breast Cancer on the day.
Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal

The Red Shield Appeal happens across the weekend of 26 – 27 May. Redlands students in Yr 11 will again be helping the Salvation Army with their annual door knock in our local community on Sunday 27 May. If you live near school, look out for our student on Sunday 27 and give generously. We need approximately 100 Yr 11 students to sign up for this activity. Students will gather at school at 8am on the morning of the door knock and then after knocking all of the residences in their allocated area, they will return to school by 11am to lodge the donations and have a well earned BBQ sausage sizzle.
Spring Fair
Planning for Spring Fair is underway. There are opportunities for students to assist the Redlands Parents and Friends (RPFA) team. Students are encouraged to sign up to either work as a team to run a stall or be an ambassador on the day and help out where needed. You will need to bring your planning skills and willingness to collaborate. Students can sign up here. It’s a great opportunity for meaningful Duke of Edinburgh and Yr 11 Service Learning and IB CAS reflections while supporting and strengthening your school community.
Yrs 11 and 12 Performance Night
Friday 25 May 6.00-7.30pm, Redlands Hall
Yr 12 student Erin Pacholke has organised a performance night for students in Yrs 11 and 12 to have stage and audience practice of their major theatre and music pieces. She has dedicated all funds raised on the night to Taldumande Youth Services. This is a wonderful opportunity to see some of our talented students at their best.
