There will be an Extra-curricular Assembly on Thursday 19 September in place of Secondary School Sport from 2.25-3.30pm. There will be no sport on this afternoon unless otherwise notified by Redlands Sport Staff by email or on Redlands Pulse (there will still be morning trainings).
Athletics
We had a fantastic day out at the ISA Athletics Carnival yesterday. Our Junior Girls (U12–U14) won the Division 1 Girls Shield, our Intermediate Girls (U15 and U16) won the Division 1 Shield for the first time since 1993, and we won the Overall Girls Shield for the first time since 1997. It is also the first time a team has beaten Kinross overall since 2003. Our Boys did extremely well, coming 5th overall in Division 1 with only all boys’ schools finishing ahead us. Redlands came first in the overall Co-ed School point score. A historic day for Redlands!
All members of the Redlands team should be extremely proud of their results, with a number of outstanding individual results. We are going to have a full break down of the results in next week’s Note Day after the final results are sent out (this will include the team selected for NSWCIS).
Below are the recipients of the Athlete of the Year Awards for 2019. These are based on individual performances at ISA, along with commitment and dedication to the team throughout the season.

Football
Last Friday night we held the 2019 End of Season Football Dinner at Dee Why RSL. It was a fantastic evening and we would like to thank all members of the Friends of Football Dinner for putting it together. Attendees at the dinner were lucky enough to hear from Blair McEwan, Redlands Alumni 2009. Blair was the 1sts Girls Football Captain at Redlands and a member of the original Girls 1st XI who won the ISA Competition in 2009. Blair reflected on her time at Redlands and spoke fondly of the experiences and lessons she learned in Redlands Football and how they have been of benefit in her career as a lawyer to this day. Blair also articulated how much Sport at Redlands has developed over the years and the amazing opportunities that are now present for girls in sport and in society.
Picture: Three Redlands Girls Football Captains. Hannah Johns (2018 Football Captain and Current Redlands Football Coach), Sydney Stuckmann (2019 Football Captain and Sports Prefect), Blair McEwan (2009 Alumni and 2009 Football Captain).
Congratulations to all of our award winners from the Football season. If you were not in attendance at the dinner to receive your award, please collect your award from the Sports Department.
