Australian Science Olympiad 2019
The Australian Science Olympiad is a nationwide competition in the Sciences open to students in Yrs 10 and 11. The First Round of the competition is a challenging exam to be sat in school in August. Students may enter for Biology, Chemistry, Physics and/or Earth and Environmental Science. Students who perform well in this round are invited to attend further meetings and workshops with a view to selecting a National Science Olympiad team to compete overseas. This competition is designed for students who are or will be studying Science subjects at a senior level and who are interested in pursuing the subjects beyond school.
Following on from last year’s very successful program, we will be running a series of Olympiad sessions for students to cover the advanced material required for the exams. Students may take part in any number of subjects, but they are asked to commit to as many sessions as possible in their chosen subject(s).

The ISS bring together top Science students from across Australia and around the world for inspiring talks by leading scientists, visits to cutting-edge research labs and amazing hands-on activities. Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize
Primary to High School. Film applications close 3 May 2019.
It’s time for students with a passion for Science to share their ideas and stories to fellow future scientists of Australia. Sponsored by the University of Sydney, the Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize is a national Science film competition for primary and high school students. Encourage your students to take part in this “edutainment” video challenge and have fun in the process! More information can be found here.
