Second Hand Uniform Sale
The Second Hand Uniform Sale was held last weekend. The sale has become somewhat of an institution at Redlands and we are pleased that we are able to make it beneficial to our parents, but this year also to the environment. Our uniforms get used at least twice if not more and this year they have a further life as we are donating the no longer current and very old uniforms to the MS Society who will distribute them to those in need overseas. Additionally, if they are too old to be worn, they will be turned into mattress stuffing, a great outcome all round for sustainability.
As you also may know, all proceeds from the sale go to the Redlands Scholarship Fund and with the sales made on the weekend, we were able to donate $7924 to the fund.
All this would not be possible without the help of the volunteers so a big thank you to all who helped out. We are very grateful for your participation.
If you would like to know more about the opportunities to get involved by volunteering, please do not hesitate to contact the RPFA at rpfa@redlands.nsw.edu.au. Also please watch this space as we will soon be holding our Annual General Meeting and new committee members are always welcome. We will also be calling for volunteers to help with the Spring Fair next year, a lot of fun!
Melbourne Cup Luncheon
This year the tradition continues as Redlands hosts the event that stops the nation at the Sergeant’s Mess in Chowder Bay overlooking stunning Sydney Harbour. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of fun with French champagne and a cocktail on arrival, a gourmet three course luncheon with fine wines, raffles and sweeps, live entertainment and fashions on the field.
Early Bird tickets are available now until 1 October.
It is easy to book, just select your Year Group or guests you would like to be seated with. Tables of 10 are available and a limited number of tables of 12.
