Celebration of Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize Collection & Artist In Residence
We are delighted to present The Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize Collection at Redlands.
The Collection, created as a direct result of the acquisitive Prize over 22 years, is a remarkable collection of artworks that provides a unique and valuable teaching tool and includes pieces from Imants Tillers, Ben Quilty, Lindy Lee amongst others.
Parents will also have an opportunity to meet Cameron Robbins, the contemporary artist who is leading the 2019 Redlands Konica Minolta Artist in Residence (RKMAIR) program. Cameron will be at Redlands 6-17 May working with students and staff creating a site responsive artwork on the Senior Campus.
Cameron is a well-regarded contemporary artist based in Melbourne. His installations reflect a deep interest in the elements, and the resulting work seeks to make tangible the underlying structures and rhythms of natural forces. Cameron has worked extensively in Australia, most recently at MONA, creating a site responsive artwork that is currently on permanent exhibition. Having worked with many schools, Cameron is very interested in education and children having access to first hand experiences of working with an artist. He will work with Redlands students and staff creating a site responsive artwork, connecting with the natural conditions and the built landscape, including the current redevelopment on the Senior Campus.
More information is available on the website.
