Redlands Parents and Friends

Redlands Parents and Friends

A big welcome back (and welcome to the new families joining us) to Term 3! It was truly fantastic to see so many families visiting the Redlands High Country Campus over the holiday break.

Established more than 30 years ago through the generous support of our Redlands community, it is a full circle moment to see families so engaged ahead of this new chapter. Thanks to the recent expansion of our magnificent High Country Campus, from 2025, Year 9 students will be given a wonderful opportunity to develop life readiness, and challenged to achieve personal excellence.

If you missed the tour, you can find out more here. And there’s more photos from the open days in the Foundation article.

Festival of Redlands – Shining a Light on 140 Years – Saturday 19 October

Planning continues for this first-of-its-kind event for our community to celebrate 140 years of Redlands. Set in the grounds of the Junior School, this event will include games, sports, arts, drama, music, and refreshments and will also showcase our High Country Campus.

To bring this epic occasion to life, we are calling on as many in our school community as possible to volunteer. Contact us if you would like to find out more and the RPFA will be in touch!

We are currently seeking volunteers to help cut bunting flags from old school uniforms. You will be supplied with the old uniforms and the template to cut the flags. This can be done in the comfort of your own home! If you are interested, please email Kate Goodsall akgoodsall@bigpond.com or text 0401477937

Book Club

The Redlands Book Club is a group of Redlands parents – past and present – who share a love of reading. New members are always welcome! The Book Club meets twice each school term to discuss a book, rotating among members’ homes. Occasionally, outings are also organised to events, movies or shows that are tied in with books. If you would like to join Book Club, or simply want to know more, please contact Monica or Sabiha.

We are pleased to announce the dates for our Term 3 Book Club meetings:

  • Thursday 22nd August 7:00pm – to discuss The Women by Kristin Hannah
  • Wednesday 18th September ~10:30am (exact time TBC) – to discuss The Other Side of Beautiful by Kim Lock

Please save these dates in your calendar!

We are looking for a meeting spot for our next meeting. Please contact Monica or Sabiha if you’re able to host.

RPFA Behind the Scenes will be back next week.
