Redlands Parents and Friends
Welcome back to a new school term and welcome to all the new families joining Redlands! One last term to go before the end of another amazing year – and it’s a busy one at that. Our children still have final exams, camps, surf education and year-end performances to get through. We also have several parent social gatherings (there are still seats available at the Melbourne Cup Luncheon!), as well as our Annual General Meeting, planned in the coming weeks – please see details below and do attend if you have the chance.
Notice of Annual General Meeting
All parents and guardians of current students are invited and encouraged to attend the Redlands Parents and Friends Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 26 October 2023 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held in Room 1.4, Liggins Building, Redlands Senior Campus, 272 Military Road Cremorne.
The Redlands Parents and Friends Association (RPFA), Parent Contact Groups and Friends of Groups work together to support our school and the wider Redlands community. All our volunteer members play a vital role in the growth and prosperity of Redlands by keeping us connected, included and informed.
The AGM provides a great opportunity for parents and guardians to hear how the RPFA serves the school community. The AGM will include:
- a report from our Principal, Mr Sean Corcoran;
- a review of the RPFA’s activities this year, along with plans for next year; and
- the election of the RPFA Committee and its Executive Committee.
The AGM will run for approximately one hour. There is no obligation to nominate for a position or volunteer for any activities should you wish to attend.
Please RSVP here.
If you would like more information on how to become involved we would love to hear from you. Please email RPFA and we will be in touch. Nominations for RPFA Committee member roles will close at 6:30pm on Tuesday 24 October 2023.
We look forward to welcoming you on 26 October 2023.

Walks on Tracks
Weekly guided walks around the northern Sydney area are organised by an RPFA volunteer. This is a great way to meet other Redlands parents and get in shape, plus a wonderful way to spend a morning discovering the many paths of the Sydney area.
The invitation for walks is open, so if you have friends or family who you think would like to come along, please feel free to bring them. Dogs are also welcome on most walks.
Our walk next week on Wednesday 18 October is from Sirius Cove to Clifton Gardens. Meet at Bradleys Head Rd/Middle Head Rd roundabout at 8.40am.
Any questions, please contact Ann Marie on 0406 691 533.
Book Club
The Redlands Book Club is a group of Redlands parents – past and present – who share a love of reading. New members are always welcome! The Book Club meets twice each school term to discuss a book, rotating among members’ homes. Occasionally, outings are also organised to events, movies or shows that are tied in with books, including annual attendance at the Sydney Writer’s festival in May. If you would like to join Book Club, or simply want to know more, please contact Monica or Sabiha.
Our next meeting will be in the second half of October, where we will be discussing Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens by Shankari Chandran.
We are also planning for the first meeting of next year to be a discussion of the entire Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley. There are eight books and they are great holiday reading!
