Redlands Parents and Friends
We will be holding a secondhand uniform sale of summer uniforms on Sat 2 Sept from 8.30am to 10.30am at the RPFA storage unit at 1 Monford Pl, around the corner from the uniform shop. We are also looking into the possibility of another sale during the week in Week 9 – watch this space for more info. As usual, our secondhand uniform sales provide great value for families and also give each of us an opportunity to contribute to the clear benefits of recycling. In addition, funds raised are contributed towards the means-tested Redlands Foundation Scholarship Fund. We will only be accepting payments by EFTPOS. Please also remember to bring your own bags for your purchases.
While we wait for further clarification regarding the new school uniform, we do know that there will be a transition period – any summer uniforms purchased during this secondhand sale will be able to be worn for the two year transition period, through to Term 4 2025.
We are also working with Redland’s Sustainability team to determine the best strategy for recycling old uniforms. If you have good quality summer uniforms or sports to donate, please drop them off at the Uniform Shop. Otherwise, please hold on to your winter uniforms for the time being as both the RPFA unit and Uniform Shop do not have space for storage.

Walks on Tracks
Weekly guided walks around the northern Sydney area are organised by an RPFA volunteer. This is a great way to meet other Redlands parents and get in shape, plus a wonderful way to spend a morning discovering the many paths of the Sydney area.
The invitation for walks is open, so if you have friends or family who you think would like to come along, please feel free to bring them. Dogs are also welcome on most walks.
Our walk next week on Wed 6 Sept is around Centennial Park. Meet at The Greenhouse Café on Grand Drive at 8.40am.
Any questions, please contact Karen on 0492 501 926.
Book Club
The Redlands Book Club is a group of Redlands parents – past and present – who share a love of reading. New members are always welcome! The Book Club meets twice each school term to discuss a book, rotating among members’ homes. Occasionally, outings are also organised to events, movies or shows that are tied in with books, including annual attendance at the Sydney Writer’s festival in May. If you would like to join Book Club, or simply want to know more, please contact Monica or Sabiha.
Our next meeting is Mon 18 Sept at 10am. We will be discussing Babel by R.F. Kuang. We are now in the process of voting for the next books to read, so watch this space.
